I just love this scene. Luke, Han, and Obi-Wan at their best!

@Khrome1
Nice idea, but it is common nerdy knowledge that Jedi mind tricks work on the weak-minded only. I wouldn’t consider Han a weak-minded person, so, Obi-Wan was right to not try any funny tricks on Han, or else he would have jeopardized their escape from Tatooine.

I have to say, Ok, MAYBE Kurt Russell could have played Han Solo (but only if it were with Snake Pliskin-ish style(Escape from N Y) And perhaps Robby Benson could have pulled off Luke Skywalker. Cindy Williams as Leia? Dunno’bout that…..Anyway, I just cannot see ANYBODY except Alec Guiness playing Obi Wan. I almost feel as if he was the glue that bound the other relatively new & inexperienced actors together. Form what I read, he was a total professional & joy to work with in Star Wars.

The old edition used hard cuts between the color and B&W footage. This looks much better, but the color footage lacks too much saturation

I especially love the blending between the lost and released material. The best presentation of this scene’s “lost version” yet. Terrific.
