VERY LARGE ship leaving Duluth, Minnesota

By Top Star Wars Toys, June 2, 2010 Star Wars Videos

The sheer size of this thing caught me by surprise. It reminds me a bit of the opening to Star Wars, where the Star Destroyer looked impossibly huge as it soared overhead. This is a ship as it passes under the lift bridge in Duluth, Minnesota.
Video Rating: 4 / 5

This is part of my Star Wars Collection. More of it will be on soon. I will update it time to time also. If you wish a review on any specific figure, ship, book, poster, lego, etc. just message me or you can leave a comment. Please comment, rate, and sub! OH AND SORRY FOR THE BAD QUALITY!!!! I WILL HAVE AN UPDATE WITH BETTER QUALITY SO KEEP ON WATCHING MY VIDEOS!!!

you should see it when the ships that carry wind turbine parts come through. their huge! they barely pass under the bridge and commonly scrape the retaining walls.

This ship dwarfs the Edmund Fitzgerald.

Lakers that go through the great lakes are far bigger than Salties that go through. This particular laker is a 1000 footer, which is about as big as they get, only a few are bigger, and not by much. Salties are typically less than 700 feet in length.

its a laker, it has the flat, normal bow because it doesnt have to deal with the rough seas and waves that you would see in the ocean.

Well, what I mean is that its an average sized “saltie” ocean going ship. We also have “Lakers” which are not as big. I live in Duluth and see these everyday. ;)
