Trevor vs Jimbo: Duel Of The Fates

This is JM Studios first ever complete short film: “Trevor vs Jimbo” The project was started back in late June 2006 and finally after nearly 9 months of being in production it is completely finished. None of us are professionals and had absolutely no prior knowledge of film making before creating this. It was shot using a Panasonic PV-GS300 Mini DV Camcorder and I used a combination of various digital editing software to create the effects. Anyone who has ever sat down and watched an action sequence from their favorite movie has probably said to themselves: “Wow thats so cool, I bet it would be awesome to do that”. Well, we figured: Whats something everyone wishes they could do from a popular movie? So we said: Hey, Star Wars is cool. Everyone wishes they had a lightsaber, let’s do that for our first project! And so, JM Studios is pleased to present: “Trevor vs Jimbo” Duel Of The Fates. Unfortunately YouTube severely butchers the video and audio quality in order to upload content below 100MB, so I tried my best to preserve as much of the quality as possible. Here’s a better way to get ADWLauncher to appear nearer to the top of the Market search results (better than searching “adw launcher” or “adw.launcher”): search “Anderweb” (the author of Adw Launcher) and it will show up without the need for much scrolling. OMG great short clip. Just one suggestion. Find some epic original music. The movie music is fine but music from other would add to the creativity. Anyway great job, keep it up.

Very nice, choreography was good, camera work was good, effects were very realistic. 5 stars if we had stars anymore, instead I’ll settle for thumbs up.

@ArtemisUnknown7 I don’t normally make personal comments. I rarely ever do, but for you I thought I’d make an acception. I would just like to point out, that “The Force Unleashed” was released September 19th, 2008. This short film was uploaded April 9th, 2007 – and was shot 9 months even before that. We had no absolutely concept of the character before then. Impersonation? I think not. So if anything, Lucas copied ME (wink) heh. Therefore, your observation is coincidence. You owe me a thumb

well done. Choreography wasn’t as super-cool as some others, but was technically perfect. I loved it, very good form. Sensible, and some killer moves. I’m a martial artist and swordsman (and huge SW guru) and a few moves in there made me go “OH! Good one!” Good sound, good lighting, good tension. Excellent choices for who was who.

Good video, over all. The choreography I thought was rather poor, but the effects and audio were superb, especially the lightning through the saber into his hand, I thought that was an excellent idea excellently executed. You guys made the right choice on who is Jedi and Sith as well, you each had the look for the part you played. Thumbs up.

@tipster36002 The calendar app is the stock google calendar that comes with the froyo beta firmware. As for the ADW Launcher, you can download themes from the market (just search ADW); a lot of the themes are free too You can apply themes in the ADW Preferences menu.

@snelpiller A stock galaxy s (right out of the box) has issues with its headphone sound quality. I posted a fix for it in my Galaxy S Full Customization tutorial, but it only fixes part of the problem, as I later realized. @tinku6565 Which widget are you referring to? The Samsung Widgets are specific only to the TWLauncher (stock launcher that comes with the phone), so if you switch to the ADW Launcher, you will not be able to use the Samsung Widgets. To “get the widgets back” just switch back to using the TWLauncher.
