Well, I just made this video like in 4 days.
And I think light sabers can’t cut metal easily. Check out the beginning of movie 1 and you’ll see. And yes, there were a lot of Star Destroyers around. Didn’t you see that at the end?
And the metal plate was part of the ship security in case something happens to the windows.
Well, anyway, hope you like the movie.

Eh, a few things bugged me about this.
1. The conveniently placed metal plate that covered the hole in the window.
2. DV’s lightsaber keeping him from falling, I thought lightsabers cut through metal like a hot knife through butter.
3. Did DV just happen to have another one of his ships close by or what?
