@DarthCratus no, you only control your player but you can order your companions to do damn near anything like in the other games.

@Applicantsforyou the blocking system alone is bad ass for an mmo… why do you post comments on the video? millions of people are waiting for this game, and all of them want you in afghanistan by thursday… weve already signed you up… your parents apparently didnt want you either

@sxekjb it happened that this “innovative and creative” is here

@halo10001 When it comes down to these games that have great ideas, they have always fallen short; and whether or not that is with the developement company, stockholders, or whoever’s fault by trying to play it safe and cookie-cut other mmo’s, we should still expect more from our mmorpgs. I shouldn’t have to make my own mmo to be satisfied, I am the consumer :) and without me, or any willing-to-pay consumers, they are nothing.

@halo10001 I agree, most ARE in games, but they are just highlights spread out between a bunch of mmo’s. I agree that at one point SWG was very innovative, they went the safe route and came out with the NGE and we all know how THAT turned out. A developement company can still approach these ideas in innovative ways and incorporate all the highlights into one game, instead of trying to rehash the same game over and over.

I think some of the ideas bioware has are great, such as combat cover…

@sxekjb

APB, and we all know how THAT turned out…. most of those innovations are already in games, such as SWG. If you want a new game so much, then start a company and make your own. Co-op story arches that ACTUALLY affects the game world is complicated, Guild Wars 2 will be doing this, but we’ll see how well they do it.

@Wasavirgin112 I don’t expect them all to be revolutionary games; however, a company as talented as bioware, with the funding of lucasarts behind them, should be setting the bar for future mmo’s and pushing the envelope – voice over actors with all of the same mmo setup we’ve seen again and again is nothing new, and seems like a cop-out for some extra lucasart income.

I think we should all expect more from our mmos, as we’re the ones keeping them alive with a monthly subscription. :)

@halo10001 I suggest class-less, sandbox style, true open-world gameplay, allowing the players to decide how they want to mold their characters or, with enough people behind them, mold the game universe how they want. Incorporate competition between players by allowing them to control resources and territory (not pvp “zones”). For story, I suggest co-op style arch-story that runs parallel with the open world (think dragon age, but when you choose going to an open world mmo)

November 21, 2010

Im so sad that there are so many GW2 fanboys around, I really want to see TOR hit its goal of 2million but i cant see that happening with 801percent of the people on the internet calling this game a stupid WoW clone with crap graphics, and GW2 is raping BW right now………………………

Does anyone get sick of the same crap? The mmo trinity, button-mashing hot keys, aggro, waves of the same enemies, endless grinding of xp. This is a cookie-cutter, theme-park mmo with a star wars name on it. Whatever happened to being creative and innovative?

cod4jrsarge

November 21, 2010

i really do hope that the graphics get better

TheJedimaster6788

November 21, 2010

I for one can not wait until I get to run around with a padawan or a guild!!!
