The Emporer is easily the best thing of the whole Star Wars films…They should have done a spin off movie called “Sith Lords” – make it a real dark film where the sith lords rule and take over everything…

That’s honestly just what I was thinking.
If a legion of his best soldiers is defeated by a handful of rebels and a bunch of teddy bears armed with sticks and stones, I want to see what his bad soldiers are like.
It’s a mystery as to how the empire has maintained control of the galaxy. At least with the Jedi around, it kept Darth Sidius on his toes.
Now he just hires random hobos off the street, gives them a basic IQ test, and dubs them “his best soldiers.”

Darth Vader is the central character of Star Wars, and while I love Return of the Jedi, he kind of takes a back seat to the Emperor and Jabba the Hutt. Maybe Vader could have been a little more evil in this one, so as to make it seem like he wasn’t interested in whether or not he had to kill his own son. The turn on the Emperor would have been totally surprising had he shown no compassion toward Luke.
