@zerokoolkw I meant to name your comment negative. George Lucas directed the first film, A New Hope. And it got a nomination for Best Picture. So…

In your face!

Strange… We actually had a 2 hour conversation about “that treee in the background”. Why was it there? Could it have been smaller? I mean it went on and on.

I’m a Star Wars fan and I don’t “hate” the prequels as much as most. They are what they are, tacked on backstory that’s really optional viewing when it comes to enjoying the original trilogy. I will always maintain that the story provided by the prequels is fine, the difference is the directing. George Lucas DID NOT direct the orginal trilogy movies but he did direct the prequels and that’s why they fell flat.

Yes, Spaceballs is the best parody of any movie, ever
.
RotJ was also the first SW movie that I got to see in the theater, despite being born not too long before the first one
.
My biggest memory of ESB is playing the Atari 2600 game vs the Walkers
.
About Luke’s home being burned – I never saw the bodies until the Special Edition, so I thought they were added there. Guess it was TV censoring of the original that I recalled
.
I don’t remember this being on your Cinemassacre Youtube channel.

James hit the nail on the head as always. I try to forget that the prequels even exist -George Lucas owes the world a public apology for that attack of the clones tripe. In my mind midichlorians don’t exist. Psh. Fuck that shit.

One thing about star wars that really sticks out in my mind is that the lightsabers caulterise the wounds when the slice stuff, but in Eposide 4 in the Cantine at Mos Esiley is when that furry alien thing bullies Luke and Obi slices his arm off, it shows his hand w/ a puddle of blood…wait, isn’t the lightsaber surrpose to caulterise the wounds?

I think the Force is based off the riligion of Taoism, where everything is connected to eachother by an almighty energy.
