Anakin should not have extended flaps and reversed thrust at one go. That only put stress on the weakspot of the cruiser. If he had slowed down the ship more slowly, the cruiser might have made it in one piece.

@TehSmellulare well he knows the planet so it wouldnt be hard for him to fly in to the proper area and not only does the ship how computers that calculate stuff like that the clones in the firefighter ships were talking Anakin and Obi-wan through how and where to land.

In 0:19 chancellor is not holding Anakin’s feet while they are falling, but he later somehow managed to grabs his leg when they fall back into the interior in 0:28

How does it happen that he somehow pilots a huge, destroyed ship right onto a landing runway on a huge planet that its covered in buildings…

Because they flew into the daylight side. And at they’re speed, that would have only taken a few seconds. And the clouds were probably too small to see…besides, you can’t really see clouds at night.

Just a quick note….why, in a time of Vertical landing and take off ships and star-ships would there be any need for a runway??
