I remember when I was little that I had a toy TIE-fighter that I thought looked a bit too “pristine,” so I ran it over a candle to burn and warp little bits of it to look like it had been hit by laser guns. Worked very well, though I probably wasn’t helping out the ozone layer….

The republic fighter tank first made its debut in the 2002 Star Wars the Clone Wars video game and I can’t believe its now in toy form but of course it was repainted in imperial colors for the battlefront games.
