becaues in episode l hes suppose to be much younger and hes in his early 50s in episode ll and lll hes in his mid 60s and seeing as episode ll is 10 years later it makes sence that palaptine looks older.

@Commanderlewis That is actually an unused alternate cut of the scene, Anakin was to have been present throughout the whole scene,and Sidious was going to be using Anakin’s Lightsaber. If you check out some freeze frames of the saber fight, Sidious is still using Anakin’s hilt.
