i think the legacy collection version is better because this one only comes with the coin which is pretty stupid and the legacy version has alot of clone weapons and there is the future

brightyungthng23

August 18, 2010

Oddly enough, I just got this figure in the legacy line, and it is identical except that I don’t get a coin and a bunch of more clone weapons I don’t need.

Glad to see you back, I just love your reviews. By the way, would you mind telling us how you open the 30th Anniversary figures, while keeping the bubble still on?

Order battle damaged vader online :)

I used to have this. Only problem was that Kenner/Palitoy frequently got the parts wrong so when you went to assemble the thing, you had e.g. two left engine components instead of a right and a left.

While I was visiting Scotland in 1986, I managed to buy two snowspeeders from a toy store for only 5 pounds each (equal to about $10 U.S. or $10 Canadian at the time) . I also bought a Rebel transport ship complete with gas masks and backpacks for only 10 pounds and about a dozen figures for only 99 cents each (99 pence). Most stores in 1986 were clearing out their Star Wars merchandise, so there were some great deals.

I always wondered why Kenner didn’t film the commercials for the Hoth toys in snow. Maybe they were worried kids who didn’t live in colder areas would lose interest.

The snowspeeder was one of the best vintage vehicles.

August 18, 2010

I actually had one of these. My mum probably still has it lying around somewhere.

hockeyfanboy12

August 18, 2010

DrCowboyFace

August 18, 2010

Where’s the BAT Mobile when you need it?!

ozerataoglu

August 18, 2010

Don’t forget about him leaving 3PO in the forest.

ozerataoglu

August 18, 2010

Now THAT’s a huge point, right here.

August 18, 2010

I think George Lucas got a sneak-peek at Lockheed’s F-117 blueprints when he designed the Snowspeeder.

doomsday5000

August 19, 2010

y is there a snowspeeder in the forest???

August 19, 2010

Dont open those toys kids. In 35 years they will be worth a ton of money!

DarkAngel182

August 19, 2010

Have you noticed that the American vintage Kenner commercials were nearly all filmed outside, whereas the British vintage Palitoy commercials were all indoors?

That’s because in the UK it pisses down with rain so much that filming outside wasn’t really an option!

TheJediCharles

August 19, 2010

Amen, brother!

My parents rejoiced with our love of SW toys. They didn’t have to wonder what to get us for years to come.

The first rule my mom had to learn…

“there’s no such thing as not needing another Stormtrooper.”

She crammed the stocking with ‘em! They were happy, we were happy… what the hell is Bromide’s problem?

Humdinger7

If you have to get a second job to afford some toys I wouldn’t reccommend having children. I think toys help fuel imagination during childhood, and encourage creativity.
