@187SicknesS He was making the point that The Expanded Universe (EU) was and is not Canon. HE and HE alone dictates what rules are followed or ignored in the Star Wars Universe. He “gave” the fans the EU as a “gift” to explore our own ideas, theories, and concepts and empower our own stories.
*Nothing* in the EU is Canon. Period. He has said this publicly at least once and in written interviews as well.

I never liked the concept of the color distribution…red for the bad and blue and green for the good. blade color should vary the same as hilt construction…too bad lucas never picked on this from the expanded star wars universe.

Well Jeffhardde, for dueling they’re turned or moulded aluminium with carbon fibre rods, injection moulded resin for hilts was also used, others for non sparring stunt work were injection moulded silicon rubber.

It’s cool yeah – but if you already have all of the official DVD’s, it’s basically clips from all of the featurettes covering the weapon – edited together
