Full Scale Tie Interceptor 1:1 @ (Star Wars Celebration 5)

By Top Star Wars Toys, September 23, 2010 Star Wars Videos

Something you don’t see everyday. Amazing model Built by Father and Daughter. From what it looked like in the booklet they had it was made from wood and metal. It was shipped from Belgium and shipped by boat each part over seas. Don’t mark my word but this is what I heard from the Sirius radio broadcast. I tried to film it best I could but was in a bit of a hurry since everyone else was doing the same thing as me. There was tons of people around it and we kept bumping into each other. I have some pictures from a distance of the entire ship but they came out to dark so I did not add to the video. Anyhow I shot best I could and gives everyone that was not there a chance to see this awesome model.

It’s true, the interceptor was built by Jos and his daughter Melanie. It took about 6 months to complete it, 3 days to set it up and 4 hrs to take it apart. The Belgian Prop Crew was present at CV with the following props: Tie Interceptor, Endor Bunker + speederbike, Vaporators, snowspeeder, Jabba + creatures, 12ft Wampa, 18ft AT-AT and the Outrider/Falcon set. Everything was shipped from Belgium in two 40ft containers.
