Darth Maul vs. Qui-Gon feat. Obi-Wan

It’s an animation I made as a tribute to the greatest lightsaber duel in Star Wars history. The whole audio (except some additional sound fx) is from the original movie ‘Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace’ Some things to mention: – I used Anime Studio (formerly known as Moho) – I’m 97% sure that I will not make another SW remake – It took about 3 or 4 weeks to finish the whole thing – The characters weren’t based on the Wii people Miis or whatever their name is. This style I’m using (I call it ‘dumpy figure animation’) was inspirated by the Madness Combat Series. That was the first place where I saw this kind of technique (not the exact same of course), and I’m using it ’cause it’s easy to work with yet a better animation can be done with it compared to stick-figure animations. – The characters are NOT naked. My monitor is kinda dark, it is on 0 brightness, and I forgot to adjust it to an acceptable level when I picked the colors so on other monitors the screen may look really bright. Because of that it’s hard to tell the difference between the colors of the skin and clothes – Why did I put some extra moves before Darth Maul gets cut in 2? Because I could:P No, I always thought it was dumb that he’s just standing there and waiting for Obi-Wan to slash. So I added some confused reaction moves to Maul.

In a way, this video is nicer than the actual fight in the movie…because it is reminiscent of the slower light saber combat in the original trilogy (which I prefer).

well the characters ar a bit funny
but the video it self is so like in the movie and the quality is excelent aswell
