correction the original grip was just a hand grenade.

a cheaper and stronger way for the first one instead of the cell phone thing, you can use a CB microphone clip from radio shack #21-923, and it does the same as the cell phone, but cheaper only like 3.50 or so bucks

They are sections of foam rubber weather stripping, like the kind you use around doors. You can get them in any hardware store.
